"Beau Soir" is a French art song written by Claude Debussy. It is a setting of a poem by Paul Bourget. Debussy was seventeen or eighteen when he wrote this song (ca.1880), and his music was marked by the aesthetics of the period.
Barbra Streisand performs "Beau Soir" from her 1976 album "Classical Barbra"
This is a beautiful song, don't miss it.
Lyric:
Translate:
When the rivulets are rosy in the setting sun,And a mild tremor runs over the wheat fields,An exhortation to be happy seems to emanate from thingsAnd rises towards the troubled heart. An exhortation to enjoy the charm of being aliveWhile one is young and the evening is beautiful,For we are going on, as this stream goes on:The stream to the sea, we to the grave.

Achille-Claude Debussy (August 22, 1862 – March 25, 1918) was a French composer.
Along with Maurice Ravel, he was one of the most prominent figures working within the field of impressionist music, though he himself intensely disliked the term when applied to his compositions.
Debussy is not only among the most important of all French composers but also a central figure in European music at the turn of the twentieth century. He was made Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur in 1903 .His music is noted for its sensory component and how it is not often formed around one key or pitch.
Often Debussy's work reflected the activities or turbulence in his own life.
His music virtually defines the transition from late-Romantic music to twentieth century modernist music.
In French literary circles, the style of this period was known as symbolism, a movement that directly inspired Debussy both as a composer and as an active cultural participant.
The following is one of his most famous works.
Hope you enjoy it after several classic rock songs.
It may calm you down and ease your mind.

Robert Clark "Bob" Seger (born May 6, 1945) is an American rock musician and singer-songwriter.
As a locally successful Detroit-area artist, he performed and recorded as The Bob Seger System throughout the 1960s.
By the early 1970s, he had dropped the "System" from his recordings, and continued to strive for national success as a solo artist.
In 1976, he achieved national fame with two albums, the studio record Night Moves and the live record Live Bullet. His backing band from 1975 was known as "The Silver Bullet Band", an evolving group of Detroit-area musicians.
He also worked extensively with the Alabama-based Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, which backed him on several of his best selling singles and albums.
A roots rocker with a classic raspy, shouting voice, Seger was first inspired by James Brown and Elvis Presley.
He wrote and recorded songs that dealt with blue-collar themes. Seger has recorded many rock and roll hits, including "Night Moves", "We've Got Tonight", "Like a Rock" and also co-wrote the Eagles number one hit "Heartache Tonight."
His iconic signature song "Old Time Rock and Roll" was named one of the Songs of the Century in 2001. With a career spanning five decades, Seger continues to perform and record today. Seger was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.(Wikipedia)
Against the wind is one of his many good songs:
I remember we all knew this song when we were young.
Lyrics:It seems like yesterdayBut it was long agoJaney was lovely she was the queen of my nightsThere in the darkness with the radio playing lowAnd the secrets that we sharedThe mountains that we movedCaught like a wildfire out of control'Til there was nothing left to burn and nothing left to proveAnd I remember what she said to meHow she swore that it never would endI remember how she held me oh so tightWish I didn't know now what I didn't know thenAgainst the windWe were runnin' against the windWe were young and strong, we were runnin'Against the windThe years rolled slowly pastAnd I found myself aloneSurrounded by strangers I thought were my friendsI found myself further and further from my homeAnd I guess I lost my wayThere were oh so many roadsI was living to run and running to liveNever worried about paying or even how much I owedMoving eight miles a minute for months at a timeBreaking all of the rules that would bendI began to find myself searchingSearching for shelter again and againAgainst the windA little something against the windI found myself seeking shelter against the windWell those drifter's days are past me nowI've got so much more to think aboutDeadlines and commitmentsWhat to leave in, what to leave outAgainst the windI'm still runnin' against the windI'm older now but still runnin' against the windWell I'm older now and still runnin'Against the windAgainst the windAgainst the windStill runnin'I'm still runnin' against the windI'm still runnin'I'm still runnin' against the windStill runnin'Runnin' against the windRunnin' against the windSee the young man runWatch the young man runWatch the young man runnin'He'll be runnin' against the windLet the cowboys rideLet the cowboys rideThey'll be ridin' against the windAgainst the wind ...
"Bohemian Rhapsody" is a song by the British rock band Queen. It was written by Freddie Mercury for the band's 1975 album A Night at the Opera. "Bohemian Rhapsody" is in the style of a stream-of-consciousness nightmare that has unusual song structure, more akin to a classical rhapsody than popular music. The song has no chorus, instead consisting of three main parts including an operatic segment, an a cappella passage, and a heavy rock solo.
When it was released as a single, "Bohemian Rhapsody" became a commercial success, staying at the top of the UK Singles Chart for nine weeks. It reached number one again in 1991, after Freddie Mercury's death, achieving total sales of 2,176,000 and becoming the UK's third best selling single of all time.[1] The single was accompanied by a promotional video; considered groundbreaking, it helped establish the visual language of the modern music video. Although critical reaction was initially mixed, especially in the United States , "Bohemian Rhapsody" is often considered to be Queen's magnum opus and one of the greatest rock songs of all time.
The following video is live performance at 1985 at Aid Word live.
This is one of most important songs by Queen. it is so well composed and touched a lot of people's hearts.
Hope you like it.

Led Zeppelin were an English rock band formed in 1968 by Jimmy Page (guitar), Robert Plant (vocals, harmonica), John Paul Jones (bass guitar, keyboards, mandolin), and John Bonham (drums).
With their heavy, guitar-driven sound, Led Zeppelin are regularly cited as one of the progenitors of heavy metal and hard rock music.
However, the band's individualistic style drew from many sources and transcends any one genre.
Led Zeppelin did not release the popular songs from their albums as singles in the UK, as they preferred to develop the concept of "album-oriented rock"
The Stairway to Heaven is one of best classic rock songs; the melody is pretty and lyric is well composed.
Hope you enjoy it!
LyricThere's a lady who's sure All that glitters is gold And she's buying a stairway to heaven When she gets there she knows If the stores are all closed With a word she can get what she came for Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh And she's buying a stairway to heaven There's a sign on the wall But she wants to be sure 'Cause you know sometimes words have Two meanings In a tree by the brook There's a songbird who sings Sometimes all of our thoughts are Misgiven Ooh, it makes me wonder Ooh, it makes me wonder There's a feeling I get When I look to the west And my spirit is crying For leaving In my thoughts I have seen Rings of smoke through the trees And the voices of those Who stand looking Ooh, it makes me wonder Ooh, it really makes me wonder And it's whispered that soon If we all call the tune Then the piper will lead us to reason And a new day will dawn For those who stand long And the forests will Echo with laughter Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, ooh, whoa, oh If there's a bustle in your hedgerow Don't be alarmed now It's just a spring clean For the May queen Yes, there are two paths you can go by But in the long run There's still time to change The road you're on And it makes me wonder Aw, uh, oh Your head is humming and it won't go In case you don't know The piper's calling you to join him Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow? And did you know Your stairway lies on the whispering wind? (Solo) And as we wind on down the road Our shadows taller than our soul There walks a lady we all know Who shines white light and wants to show How everything still turns to gold And if you listen very hard The truth will come to you at last When all are one and one is all To be a rock and not to roll And she's buying a stairway To heaven...

A time for us is one of most popular love songs for years.
Happy Valentine!
A time for us, someday therell be
When chains are torn by courage born of a love thats free
A time when dreams so long denied
Can flourish
As we unveil the love we now must hide
A time for us, at last to see
A life worthwhile for you and me
And with our love through tears and thorns
We will endure
As we pass surely through every storm
A new world
A world of shining hope for you and me
Scene from Phantom of the Opera where Christine sings for the first time. I absolutly LOVE this song!
The Phantom of the Opera (original title: Le Fantôme de l'Opéra) is a novel by French writer Gaston Leroux.
It was first published as a serialization in Le Gaulois from November 19, 1909 to January 8, 1910. Initially, the story sold very poorly upon publication in book form and was even out of print several times during the twentieth century, despite the success of its various film and stage adaptations.
The most notable of these were the 1925 film depiction and Andrew Lloyd Webber's 1986 musical. The Phantom of the Opera musical is now the longest running Broadway show in history, and one of the most lucrative entertainment enterprises of all time.

Quoted from Wikipedia:
A nocturne (from the French for nocturnal) is usually a musical composition that is inspired by, or evocative of, the night. Historically, nocturne is a very old term applied to night Offices and, since the Middle Ages, to divisions in the canonical hour of Matins. The name nocturne was first applied to pieces in the eighteenth century, when it indicated an ensemble piece in several movements, normally played for an evening party and then laid aside. Sometimes it carried the Italian equivalent, notturno, such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's quadraphonic Notturno in D, K.286, written for four lightly echoing separated ensembles of paired horns with strings, and his Serenata Notturna, K. 239. At this time, the piece was not necessarily evocative of the night, but might merely be intended for performance at night, much like a serenade.
I hope you dance is a beautiful songs.
This is the new year present for you and your family.
I Hope You Dance lyricsI hope you never lose your sense of wonder,You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger,May you never take one single breath for granted,GOD forbid love ever leave you empty handed,I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens,Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance,And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.I hope you dance....I hope you dance.I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance,Never settle for the path of least resistanceLivin' might mean takin' chances, but they're worth takin',Lovin' might be a mistake but it's worth makin',Don't let some hell bent heart leave you bitter,When you come close to sellin' out reconsider,Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance,And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.I hope you dance....I hope you dance.I hope you dance....I hope you dance.(Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along,Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder where those years have gone.)I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens,Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance, And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance. Dance....I hope you dance. I hope you dance....I hope you dance. I hope you dance....I hope you dance.. (Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder where those years have gone)

2008 military conflict with RussiaRussia and Georgia had each amassed larger military forces near their respective borders with South Ossetia. After the Georgian bombing of the South Ossetian capital, Tskhinvali in the late evening of August 7, Georgian armed forces began pushing into South Ossetia, supported by their artillery and multiple rocket launcher fire. Russia reported that several Russian peacekeepers stationed in South Ossetia were killed. At dawn of August 8 forces of the Russian 58th Army entered South Ossetia through the Russian-controlled Roki tunnel, and the Russian air-force launched a series of coordinated air strikes against multiple targets within Georgian territory. As justification for their invasion and air strikes, Russia also claimed the Georgian army was responsible for killing 1,600 South Ossetian civilians. However, these allegations have not been substantiated, and Human Rights Watch investigators in South Ossetia accused Russia of exaggerating the scale of such casualties.
As Russia and Georgia both sent troops into South Ossetia, the conflict between Georgia on the one side and Russia, Ossetian, and later, Abkhazian separatists on the other quickly escalated into the full scale 2008 war. Because of the intensive fighting in South Ossetia there were many disputed reports about the number of casualties on both sides, which targets had fallen under aerial attacks, the status of troop movements, and the most current location of the front line between the Georgian and Russian-Ossetian combat units.
After a few days of heavy fighting Georgian troops were driven from South Ossetia. The advance of Russian forces from South Ossetia into undisputed Georgia territory was accompanied by unverified reports of looting, burning, and killing of civilians by Russian military and accompanying irregulars. By August 11, Russian military troops in Abkhazia, the other separatist Georgian province, executed a second invasion and seized additional territory in Western Georgia. On August 12, President Medvedev announced an intent to halt further Russian military operations in Georgia.
